It's Okay If You Don't Want To Do It.

If a four year old loses interest in an activity, they don't question it, they move on.

Somewhere throughout school, we're taught the important lesson of resilience and relentlessness. Make no mistake, this highly skilled ability is crucial towards achieving any dreams that we may have. In fact, you'll have to master it.

What school fails to do, in my opinion, is to encourage you to apply these lessons towards your own character and interests. Moreover, I actually believe that relentlessness will come naturally when you find yourself blindly and foolishly attracted towards a particular goal. This could be a potential partner, a hobby, a job or any overall personal objective. I think it's important to sought after that foolishness and find something that obsesses you. The passion will speak for itself and drive you as if you're its own vessel. Let it.

The true struggle is when you haven't found this entity yet, but have somehow convinced yourself that you have. Don't force it. You don't have to be that 'person'. That 'person' or that 'thing' you've idolised may be just simply that.

Be you. Whether that's incredibly boring or too chaotic, it won't matter.

It's natural and will find balance if you let it breathe and simply exist.

If I were to apply this towards photography, I'd encourage you to find the things that catch your eye without reason, without that 'artistic expression bollocks'.

Just find what interests you and get a picture of it. If you haven't found it, don't force it and don't worry.
